Young Bob, a 17-year-old right-wing activist and auditor, was assaulted by a group of individuals while hosting a public debate stall on mass deportation and immigration in Manchester. The incident occurred recently and resulted in minor injuries that required hospital treatment, as well as damage to his equipment.

Footage circulating on social media shows Young Bob being attacked from behind and dragged to the ground. During the scuffle, his equipment, including cameras, was damaged. One camera’s battery reportedly exploded after being tampered with.

Young Bob shared his account of the assault on X, stating that the attack began while he was seated at his stall. He was kicked and punched, which caused him to pass out during the assault. He described sustaining cuts and bruises, including a black eye and marks on his neck and back, leading him to seek hospital care.

The police arrived at the scene approximately five minutes after the attack and recovered some of the damaged equipment. Young Bob is currently attempting to review footage from his camera’s SD card in an effort to identify the attackers. Reports indicate that counter-protesters from the group Stand Up to Racism were present, allegedly filming and encouraging the group responsible for the assault.

The incident has sparked strong reactions online. Some users have expressed support for Young Bob’s views and condemned the violence, while others have celebrated the attack. Despite claims of an altercation involving a female bystander, no clear evidence has been confirmed. Young Bob’s experience has intensified the ongoing debate on immigration and political violence in Manchester.
