Just after midnight on 18 March, a serious road traffic collision occurred on Church Road, Croydon, prompting a rapid emergency response from the London Ambulance Service.
The initial call mobilised an ambulance crew, a rapid response paramedic, an advanced paramedic, and an incident response officer who quickly arrived at the scene. Additional support was provided promptly, including a paramedic and doctor from the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance team.
The first paramedic reached the crash site within five minutes. Emergency teams provided immediate treatment to the injured patient at the scene before transporting him to a major trauma centre for urgent medical care.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said, “We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre.”
Further details regarding the cause of the collision and the patient’s condition are awaited from the Metropolitan Police.
