A 26-year-old man from Porth, Himanshu Himanshu, is now behind bars after admitting to inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. The offence took place in August 2025 when the victim was just 14 years old.

Initially denying the charges, Himanshu dramatically changed his plea to guilty during the trial. Cardiff Crown Court acted swiftly, sentencing him to one year in prison on Wednesday, February 18.

The rapid sentencing highlights the courts’ zero-tolerance approach towards the exploitation of children. Authorities are determined to crack down hard on offenders to protect vulnerable young people.
