A man in his 30s was rushed to hospital after an unknown substance was hurled at him at Crawley railway station late on the night of March 7, British Transport Police have confirmed.
The shocking attack took place just after 11.20pm at the West Sussex station. Emergency crews quickly arrived at the scene to treat the victim before transporting him to hospital. His current condition remains unknown.
Police officers and forensic teams conducted a thorough search of the area into the early hours, looking for any clues related to the incident. A spokesperson for British Transport Police urged witnesses to come forward with any information.
“Officers were called to Crawley railway station just after 11.20pm last night (March 7) following reports of a substance being thrown at a man in his thirties. The man was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment. Officers are keen to speak to any witnesses who might have seen this incident or may have information,” the spokesperson said.
