Former couple Chelsea O’Neill and Stevie White have been caught and sentenced for committing multiple daylight burglaries across Edenbridge and Surrey. The duo struck three homes in Edenbridge on 12 June 2025, travelling around in a rented red Vauxhall Corsa with a black roof.
In addition to the Edenbridge properties, a fourth house located on Harts Lane in Godstone, Surrey, was also targeted at around the same time.
All the homes were empty when the burglaries took place. O’Neill and White forced entry by breaking open back doors, windows, and front doors to gain access.
The stolen items included jewellery, watches, commemorative coins, sunglasses, and bank cards. Each property was thoroughly searched, with valuables taken and disorder left behind.
Police gathered crucial evidence including CCTV footage that showed White at two of the crime scenes. Witnesses also reported seeing the distinct red Vauxhall Corsa near the locations, matching the timeline of the offences. Cell phone data further confirmed that both O’Neill and White were present at the exact locations during the burglaries.
On 13 June 2025, just one day after the break-ins, police stopped the red Corsa in Dartford with both suspects inside. They were arrested swiftly, and several stolen items were recovered from the vehicle along with £1,000 in cash and pawnbroker slips. A search of O’Neill’s home uncovered additional stolen goods.
Stevie White, 42, from Colchester, and Chelsea O’Neill, 42, from Chislehurst, were each charged with four counts of burglary. At Maidstone Crown Court, both pleaded guilty to the charges.
On 10 February 2026, White was sentenced to five years and seven months in prison, which included additional offences committed in Essex. O’Neill received a 12-month sentence suspended for 18 months on 5 February 2026.
Police Constable Holly Turner commented: “White and O’Neill deliberately targeted multiple homes in Kent and Surrey, thinking they could get away with it. But they hadn’t planned their escape well.”
“Our officers worked fast, catching them with stolen goods the very next day. These break-ins left victims feeling scared and violated, but we’ve recovered some of their treasured items. I hope this brings them some comfort.”
