An elderly pedestrian was seriously hurt after a collision with a double decker bus in Sunbury on Thames. The incident occurred at around 5pm on Thursday 29 June at the busy junction of Green Street and Thames Street.
The man sustained serious injuries in the crash and was urgently treated at the scene. Paramedics called in an air ambulance to airlift him to St George’s Hospital for specialist care.
Green Street was closed while police and emergency crews worked to clear the scene and recover the bus involved in the collision.
Surrey Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward. Anyone who saw the incident is asked to call 101 and quote incident reference P17162130.
