Police are currently hunting a man who sexually assaulted a 22-year-old woman in an alleyway in Southampton during the early hours of Saturday, August 27.
The victim was walking along Carlton Road towards James Weld Close between 1.30am and 1.45am when the attack occurred. A man grabbed her in the alleyway off Carlton Road, with the assault taking place over the top of her clothing.
The suspect is described as a white male, aged between 25 and 29 years old, approximately 6 feet tall with a slim build. He has blond, spiky hair that flops to the right and a blond beard. At the time, he was wearing a thin grey or blue t-shirt and blue jeans.
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward. Officers say the investigation is in its early stages but they are following every lead. Anyone who saw anything or recognises the man is asked to call 101 quoting reference 44160322040. Alternatively, people can phone 0800 555 111.
