Sussex Police have charged 50-year-old Ben Wheeler, who has no fixed address, with two counts of outraging public decency. Wheeler was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court today.
“We’d like to remind the public of their responsibility not to post any comments which could prejudice the right to a fair trial,” Sussex Police said.
The incidents took place on March 11 and 12, stirring alarm among local residents. Police say their investigation is ongoing as the community reels from the unsettling news.
