Nicholas Peel, 55, a former Thames Valley Police constable, has been found guilty of repeatedly raping a woman in Wiltshire while on active duty. The offences took place between 2015 and 2020.
On 2 March 2025, Peel was convicted at Salisbury Crown Court on four counts of rape and one count of attempted rape. He is scheduled to be sentenced on 13 April 2025.
The disgraced ex-officer previously lived near Marlborough but now resides in Kent.
Peel resigned from Thames Valley Police in December 2024 amid a gross misconduct investigation. A disciplinary hearing held in March 2025 revealed that he had abused police communication and IT systems during his service.
The misconduct findings included illegally listening in on other police forces’ radio channels, improperly accessing and tampering with police system records, and using hundreds of gigabytes of work phone data while on sick leave, exceeding permitted limits.
The disciplinary panel stated that Peel would have been dismissed had he not retired first.
