A 15-year-old boy from Birmingham has been arrested after a stabbing incident inside a McDonald’s located at Ventura Retail Park in Tamworth on Monday night.

West Midlands Ambulance Service responded promptly at 8.24pm following reports of a stabbing on Bitterscote Drive. The emergency team, which included one ambulance, a paramedic officer, and a specialist trauma team, arrived quickly at the scene.

Paramedics discovered a teenage boy with a stab wound to his lower back. He was treated at the scene for serious injuries before being rushed to hospital for urgent assessment.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police confirmed the arrest, stating: “A teenager has been arrested after a boy was stabbed in Tamworth. The victim’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.”

The suspect remains in custody on suspicion of affray as police continue their investigation into the incident.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to assist the investigation by contacting Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 795 of 30 March.
