West Yorkshire Police have launched a frantic manhunt for two suspects following a shocking stabbing inside a Dewsbury bookmaker’s shop.

The attack happened at around 1:50pm on Friday, April 3, inside a betting shop on Foundry Street. A man was seriously injured and rushed to the hospital.

Officers are searching for 38-year-old Nicholas Wood, linked to Huddersfield and Wakefield, and 23-year-old Jasmine Briggs. Both are wanted on suspicion of causing serious bodily harm.

Descriptions of the suspects have been released to the public. Nicholas Wood is described as having a slim build with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a light grey jumper and joggers, plus a black cap.

Jasmine Briggs is a white female, around 5ft 1in tall, slim, with dark brown shoulder-length hair. She was last spotted wearing a black jumper and trousers. Briggs is believed to have connections across Huddersfield, Wakefield, Bridlington, Driffield, and Hull.

Police urge anyone with information to contact Kirklees CID on 101, quoting crime number 13260189165.
