A 19-year-old man from Meir has admitted to assault after he viciously kicked a woman in the head during a chaotic street fight outside a nightclub in Stoke-on-Trent.
Rehaan Khan, who lives on Ryder Road, pleaded guilty to assault and affray at North Staffordshire Justice Centre.
The shocking attack took place at 4.36am on 4 February 2024 on Trinity Street, just outside the Groove Castle nightclub in Hanley.
CCTV footage showed the victim rushing to help a woman lying on the ground before being attacked by two women. As she fell, Khan appeared from behind and delivered five brutal kicks to her head.
The victim sustained a broken tooth and significant bruising as a result of the assault.
Khan was also fined £50 for breaching a suspended sentence. With four previous convictions covering eight offences, magistrates ruled that the assault was too serious for their court to handle.
He was therefore sent to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court for sentencing.
