Greggs is set to open its first international branch at Tenerife South Airport, providing holidaymakers with a chance to enjoy its famous sausage rolls and baked goods before their flights home. The new outlet will be located in the airport’s international departures lounge, aiming to serve millions of British and international travellers who pass through the Canary Islands each year.

The bakery giant will bring its affordable menu of baked goods, sandwiches, rolls, and sweet treats to this new overseas location. Although the official opening date has not yet been announced, fans can look forward to experiencing a genuine Greggs offering abroad.

The Tenerife South Airport Greggs branch will feature seating for up to 92 customers, offering a comfortable space for travellers to relax and enjoy their food prior to departure.

Greggs chief executive, Roisin Currie, commented on the expansion: “Tenerife South Airport sees millions of British and international travellers pass through every year, making it the perfect place for us to trial an overseas location.” She described the move as an important step in bringing a taste of the UK to the Canary Islands.
