An 18-year-old was stabbed in broad daylight on Monday, 11 October 2021, at around 6pm in a park near Meadow Lane.
The victim was quietly sitting on a park bench when he was suddenly attacked by a stranger. He sustained a wound consistent with a stabbing and was taken to a local hospital for emergency treatment.
Police describe the suspect as a slim young man, aged between 16 and 18, wearing a grey tracksuit. Two other teenage boys, similar in age and build, were seen nearby. One of them was wearing a khaki camouflage jacket.
Detective Sergeant Scott Winteridge of Maidstone CID said: “We have carried out forensic tests at the scene and are canvassing the local community. We urge anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage from the Meadow Lane area to come forward.”
