Police are currently hunting for witnesses after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in Yeovil last night. The incident occurred around 10pm in the 1 Road/Sherwell Close area.
The victim was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following the attack.
Detective Inspector 1 Jones described the incident as “an extremely serious assault on a teenage boy” and urged anyone with information to come forward.
He said, “Did you see or hear anything suspicious in the Monmouth Road or Sherwell Close area last night? Did you witness any part of the incident?”
Police have launched a full investigation and arrested one male on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the stabbing.
