Police have bailed a third woman arrested in connection with the stabbing of two men in Portsmouth. The violent assault took place on Somers Road on Friday, March 3.
The latest suspect is a 35-year-old woman with no fixed address. She was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and involvement in class A drug supply. She has been bailed until April 28.
Earlier, a 35-year-old woman from Portsmouth and a 26-year-old woman from Southsea were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Both were bailed until April 26.
In the attack, a 50-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries, while a 31-year-old man was seriously hurt.
Police are appealing for information about two men seen near Somers Road around the time of the stabbing. Both men are described as mixed race or black, in their 20s, and wearing tracksuits.
Authorities urged, “If you have any information, please contact police on 101 quoting the relevant case number.”
