What should have been a magical prom night for twelve children in Eltham, London, turned into a police nightmare. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Roads Policing unit pulled over a limousine ferrying the youngsters — only to discover the driver’s licence was revoked and he was high on cocaine.
The Met was conducting standard checks when they spotted the limo packed with excited kids on their way to celebrate. But a quick background check revealed the driver had no legal right to be behind the wheel.
Concerned for the children’s safety, officers ordered a roadside drug test — which came back positive for cocaine.
The driver was immediately arrested and the vehicle seized pending further investigation. The Metropolitan Police are digging deeper to uncover how this individual managed to drive without a valid licence and while under the influence of drugs.
This shocking incident highlights the dangers of drug driving and unlicensed motorists — especially when vulnerable passengers like children are involved.
