Shots were fired twice in one night across South East London, causing alarm in the Brockley area. On Monday, 12 December, police responded to two separate incidents involving gunfire.
The first incident occurred at 9.52pm on Brockley Rise SE23. Police were called to reports of a disturbance involving a group of males. During the altercation, at least one individual reportedly fired shots into the air. Officers arrived promptly and searched the area, but the suspects had already left. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Several shell casings were recovered at the scene.
Just over an hour later, at 11.15pm, police were alerted to another shooting on Dursley Road SE3. This time, a teenage boy was injured—not by the bullets themselves but by glass after shots were fired through a window. The boy was taken to hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening. No other victims have come forward so far.
Police have not made any arrests and are investigating whether the two shootings are connected. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
