Firefighters rushed to Streatham High Road on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 20th, after a blaze erupted at the former Streatham police station. Six fire engines and an aerial ladder were deployed to tackle the intense flames following numerous 999 calls to the London Fire Brigade.

The fire started shortly after 4.30pm, causing multiple road closures in the area. These closures are expected to remain in place for the foreseeable future as emergency services continue to manage the situation.

The building is reportedly occupied by homeless individuals, raising significant safety concerns amid the fire. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of those affected.

Both the London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police have been contacted for comment but have not yet issued any official statements. Further updates are anticipated as the incident develops.
