A man on an e-scooter was injured following a crash with a car in Peckham just before 12:20pm on Monday, January 16.
Officers on patrol witnessed the collision at the busy junction of Peckham High Street and Mission Place. They immediately called the London Ambulance Service, who treated the injured rider at the scene before transporting him to hospital. Fortunately, his injuries are not life-threatening.
The driver of the car stopped immediately and remained at the scene. Police temporarily closed the road to manage the situation but reopened it around 1:10pm.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that an investigation is ongoing as they work to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the accident.
