A 25-year-old man was critically injured in a stabbing on a bus in the heart of London. The incident took place on Oxford Street and has prompted a police investigation.

Just after 10.20pm on Tuesday, February 28, police and paramedics were called to a bus on Oxford Street following reports of a stabbing. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Officers arrived and discovered a 25-year-old man critically injured. He was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service and remains in critical condition.”

Parts of the busy Oxford Street have been closed to traffic as officers secure the crime scene and carry out investigations. Additional officers are patrolling the area to ensure public safety.

The police confirmed that no arrests have been made so far. “There have been no arrests and enquiries continue,” the spokesperson added.

Detectives are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to come forward. Witnesses are asked to contact police on 101 and quote reference CAD 7103/28Feb.
