Detectives in Wembley are actively hunting a man connected to a brutal sexual assault on a woman in her 20s. The attack occurred at 6:25pm on Thursday, August 31, in a grim alleyway between Manor Farm Road and Athlon Road.
The victim was assaulted halfway down the alley, near the white wall of Busy Bee Merchants and a black fence. The Metropolitan Police have now released an E-fit image of the suspect they want to locate.
Detective Constable Annabella Davies is leading the investigation and has urged anyone who recognises the suspect to come forward immediately. She said, “This was an appalling attack on a young woman. Despite weeks of investigation, we have yet to identify a suspect. We are determined to bring justice for the victim-survivor.”
DC Davies added, “Please study this image carefully. Were you in the area on August 31? Do you live nearby? Your tip could be crucial.”
In addition to searching for the suspect, police want to speak to two important witnesses: a woman who approached the victim after the attack and a man who stopped to offer help. Neither witness was present when police arrived at the scene.
“If you were one of the people who helped the victim, please get in touch,” DC Davies urged. “You may hold key information that can crack this case.”
