Hamzah Ahmed, 18, from Jubilee Road, Reading, has been charged with the murder of 22-year-old Reece Heffernan from Tilehurst following a fatal stabbing incident.
Reece Heffernan suffered a fatal stab wound to the chest, as confirmed by a post-mortem report. The incident has deeply affected the local community.
In addition to Ahmed, Umer Arshad, 23, of Waterloo Road, Wokingham, has been charged with perverting the course of justice in connection with the case.
Both men are scheduled to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court tomorrow to face the charges.
