A woman in her 40s was killed this morning after being struck by an ambulance at a bus stop on Brighton Road, Redhill. The incident occurred at around 9.20am when a South East Coast Ambulance vehicle collided with the pedestrian.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics at the scene, the woman sadly died. Emergency services, including police, paramedics, and fire crews, responded quickly to the single-vehicle collision.
Officers have informed the woman’s next of kin and are providing support during this difficult time. Brighton Road northbound remains closed as the police continue their investigation into the crash.
