A London man is currently in police custody after a dramatic incident involving an attempted kidnap at a care home in Bembridge, Isle of Wight.
The frightening event occurred when the man tried to attack a dog handler with a fire extinguisher. The woman quickly pressed her panic button on her personal radio, which immediately alerted the police.
Officers from Hampshire Constabulary responded swiftly, arriving on Foreland Road, Bembridge, at 10.06pm on Sunday. Multiple police units attended the scene and maintained a presence throughout the night to ensure safety.
