A former supply teacher from Salford, Greater Manchester, Abusali Rahman, 33, has been charged with multiple child sex offences after an investigation by Greater Manchester Police (GMP).
Rahman faces charges including upskirting, voyeurism, and the creation and distribution of indecent images involving girls from local high schools.
The alleged offences took place between December 2023 and June 2025 across seven high schools located in Bury, Bolton, and Salford. Thirteen girls aged between 13 and 16 at the time have been identified as victims.
The charges include 12 counts of taking indecent images by upskirting, along with additional counts related to AI-generated sexualised images.
The investigation revealed disturbing digital offences, with Rahman charged for creating, publishing, and distributing AI-generated indecent images. One charge also involves sharing an upskirting image with another user, highlighting the digital aspect of the crimes.
Greater Manchester Police continues to appeal for information to help identify four girls from two of the schools who have not yet been located, despite identifying the majority of victims. The police are working closely with the affected schools to support the ongoing investigation and ensure pupil safety.
Rahman is currently remanded in custody and faces court proceedings. Additional charges include attempting to meet a girl under 16 through online grooming and operating equipment beneath clothing without consent, underscoring the seriousness of the allegations.
