A man tragically lost his life after falling from a block of flats in Buckland, Portsmouth this afternoon, officials have confirmed.
Police quickly sealed off the scene at Nickleby House on All Saints Road following the grim discovery.
Officers swarmed the area around All Saints Road, setting up a wide cordon and deploying scenes of crime experts to investigate. Residents were advised to remain indoors while the emergency response unfolded.
It remains unclear which floor the man fell from.
Emergency services were called shortly after 4pm on 25th March after residents found the victim on the grass below the flats.
A Hampshire Police source said, “We were called to Nickleby House, All Saints Road, Portsmouth at around 4pm today following a report that a man had fallen from the building. The incident is not being treated as suspicious at this time.”
A South Central Ambulance Service spokesman added, “We were called at 4.03pm to a male that had fallen from a height. We sent an ambulance officer, but sadly the patient had passed away at the scene.”
