A major crash involving six vehicles has caused significant disruption on the M27 just outside Eastleigh this evening. Emergency services have responded to the scene, resulting in the closure of two of the four southbound lanes.
The incident occurred shortly after 7.20pm on Thursday between junction 11 (Winchester South) and junction 12 (Eastleigh). All southbound lanes were briefly closed following the collision, leading to long tailbacks for drivers travelling home.
At this time, it remains unclear if there have been any injuries. The South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust confirmed they were called at 7.06pm but reported no injuries at the scene.
