Four men have been rushed to hospital following a dramatic police chase on the M3 motorway early on Friday 6 April.
Just before 5am, a vehicle failed to stop for police and subsequently smashed into roadworks on the northbound slip road at Junction 5 of the M3.
The collision left four men injured, with one currently fighting for life in hospital.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue crews worked alongside South Central Ambulance Service to treat the injured at the scene.
A mandatory referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The affected northbound slip road at Junction 5 remains closed while investigations and clearance work continue.
Police are urging drivers to avoid the area to prevent further delays and ensure safety.
