Chaos unfolded on the A287 in Church Crookham tonight after a serious crash involving a car and a motorcycle just after 11pm. The collision forced police to close the road in both directions near Redfield Lane.
Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene, with firefighters from Hampshire Fire and Rescue and medics from South Central Ambulance attending the incident. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance also landed nearby, carrying a doctor to provide critical care to those injured.
Police confirmed that the collision is very serious, with at least one person reported to have life-threatening injuries. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing as crews continue to manage the scene.
The A287 remains closed in both directions and is not expected to reopen until early Thursday morning at the earliest. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and anticipate significant delays.
