Emergency crews rushed to Bridge Street, Reading, after a lorry dramatically fell from the IDR flyover near the Oracle Shopping Centre this afternoon.
One person suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for checks. Thankfully, the driver escaped serious harm and is expected to recover.
South Central Ambulance Service reported they received over 30 calls shortly after 4pm regarding the crash. Firefighters quickly secured the lorry and handed over the casualty to paramedics.
Road closures remain around Southampton Street and Bridge Street as police continue their investigation. Drivers are urged to follow all diversions and avoid the area if possible.
