An early morning crash in Widley, near Portsmouth, prompted Hampshire firefighters to respond quickly with specialist cutting equipment.
Crews from Cosham fire station arrived at the scene where a female driver was trapped inside her vehicle. Using powerful cutters, the firefighters carefully removed the roof of the car to free the woman.
Once freed, the driver was placed on a spinal board and immobilised to prevent further injury. She was then handed over to the South Central Ambulance Service for medical care.
