Three people were injured, one seriously, after a bus smashed into a car in Gosport, Hampshire. The collision occurred at around 1pm on Priory Road.
Emergency services from South Central Ambulance Service quickly arrived at the scene with a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance. A spokeswoman confirmed that three people were receiving treatment at the location.
An off-duty nurse provided crucial first aid to two of the injured individuals before emergency crews arrived. A pensioner was carefully strapped to a spinal board and rushed to hospital due to serious injuries.
Casualty details include a 20-year-old woman who suffered cuts to her face and head, a pensioner with serious injuries requiring spinal precautions, and another individual who also received treatment at the scene.
The crash has caused major disruption on Priory Road as investigations continue.
