Police have secured extra time to question three men held over the brutal killing of Dean Evans in Basingstoke.

Dean Evans, aged 31, was found seriously injured in the street following reports of an assault at a home on Benham Road, Basingstoke, at 5.30am on Friday, April 8.

Despite being rushed to hospital by South Central Ambulance Service, Dean tragically died shortly after his arrival.

Two 22-year-olds and a 20-year-old were arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident.

Authorities have now been granted an additional 30 hours to question the trio as the investigation continues.

Police are urging anyone with information about the case to come forward and assist with the probe. Members of the public can contact police on 101, quoting reference 44160133129.
