A man in his 50s was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after falling from a roof in Portsmouth.

The incident occurred at 5:08pm on North End Avenue. The man sustained severe chest and arm injuries following the fall from the rooftop.

A South Central Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed the emergency response, stating, “We sent a rapid response car, one responder, and an air ambulance. The man was taken by road to University Hospital Southampton (UHS). He is in serious condition.”

The air ambulance landed nearby in Alexandra Park to assist the emergency teams on the ground.
