The A31 is causing chaos again after reopening overnight only to slam shut following a fresh collision near Picket Post.
Three vehicles, including a BMW, Renault Megane, and Skoda, collided on the westbound carriageway, blocking both lanes. Traffic has come to a standstill with three lanes of stationary vehicles queued up.
Paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service are treating those involved in the crash. Hampshire Police confirmed two reports of minor injuries in the smash.
A Highways England spokesman warned road users to expect long delays back to Junction 2 of the M27. Clearance is not expected until 2pm, so drivers should brace for jams.
