Emergency crews rushed to Lasham Airfield after a glider smashed into the ground at speed, we can reveal.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue dispatched teams from Basingstoke and Alton to the scene. The South Central Ambulance Service sent an officer, an ambulance, and a specialist HART team to handle the serious incident.
The glider reportedly came in fast before crash landing shortly before midday on Tuesday, May 15th. Initial reports suggest the pilot sustained serious injuries.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash. We will update you as more information comes in.
