Emergency services have shut down the A287 through Church Crookham following a serious crash involving a car and a motorcycle late on Wednesday night.
Police were called just after 11pm on Wednesday to the collision near the junction of Redfield Lane and the A287. Officers from Hampshire Roads Policing quickly sealed off the road in both directions to manage the scene.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue teams rushed to the crash site, joined promptly by South Central Ambulance Service crews. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance also landed at the scene with a doctor on board to provide urgent medical assistance.
Police at the scene confirmed, “We are dealing with a very serious collision involving one or more people with life-changing injuries.”
The road closure is expected to remain in place into the early hours of Thursday morning as investigations continue. Authorities have urged motorists to avoid the area and stay tuned for further updates.
