Two people were critically injured in a shocking multi-car crash at a popular Chinese restaurant car park in Park Gate yesterday afternoon. The incident occurred at approximately 1.45pm in the parking lot on Bridge Road, causing chaos and prompting an immediate emergency response.
Emergency services, including paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service and a critical care team from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene. Specialist medics worked urgently to save the victims, with one seriously injured patient airlifted to Southampton General Hospital. Two other individuals were transported to hospital by ambulance for further treatment.
Police quickly sealed off the parking area as officers from the Hampshire Roads Policing Unit began an investigation. Road collision investigators examined the scene thoroughly, taking photographs and videos to gather evidence. Police markers were placed throughout the car park, indicating key points relevant to the ongoing probe into the cause of the major crash.
