A man in his 20s is currently in custody following the discovery of a woman in her 50s found dead at a property in Rainham. Kent Police were called to Miers Court Road at 8.32pm on Thursday, 10 October 2019.
Officers, supported by the South East Coast Ambulance Service, attended the scene but the woman was pronounced dead at the location. The suspect was arrested shortly afterwards on Rainham High Street and remains in police custody.
The two individuals are known to each other. The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate has launched a full investigation into the incident. Police continue to search the scene as enquiries are ongoing.
