Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are investigating the stabbing murder of a man in Rochester.

Kent Police were called to a property on High Street at 6.09am on Thursday 21 November 2019. Officers attended the scene alongside the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

The victim, aged 31, was found with stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 35-year-old local man was arrested on the same day on suspicion of murder.

The suspect has since been released on bail pending ongoing investigations, with the bail period set until Friday 20 December.

Another 42-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the case has been released without charge.
