Tragedy struck on the A25 in Gomshall today when a biker died in a deadly crash involving two cars. Surrey Police are hunting for witnesses to piece together what happened.

The horror unfolded at around 4.25pm on Friday, 24 March, at the junction of A25 Shere Road and Gomshall Lane. A motorcycle smashed into a blue Peugeot 206 and a red Volkswagen Polo. The rider, a male, died instantly at the scene. Thankfully, no other injuries were reported.

Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service and a HEMS air ambulance rushed to the scene. Motorists are being urged to steer clear of the area due to multiple road closures, including at Gomshall Lane, Upper Street, Queen Street, Sherborne Road, and Felday Road junctions.

Police have set up diversions and warn roads around the crash site will be shut for hours as collision specialists investigate.

Surrey Police want to hear from anyone who saw the smash or the vehicles’ driving before the crash. Witnesses are urged to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01483 639922 or the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference P17069510.
