Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded to a building fire on Townwall Street, Dover, deploying four fire engines to tackle the flames. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus conducted a thorough search inside the property while using hose reel jets to fight the fire.
Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) also attended the scene to provide support. The cause of the fire is currently unknown as investigations are ongoing.
By 9:30pm, fire crews had made significant progress and scaled down their operations, leaving only two engines on site to dampen remaining hotspots. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.
Kent Police have launched an arson probe as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the blaze on Townwall Street.
