Emergency services responded to a serious road traffic collision (RTC) in Eaton Place, Brighton, at approximately 2:15pm. The incident prompted an immediate response from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) and Sussex Roads Policing Unit.

Upon arrival, paramedics found a man who had collapsed inside a vehicle. The man was described as being in a serious condition. SECAmb treated him at the scene before swiftly transporting him to the nearby Royal Sussex County Hospital (RSCH) for further medical care.

As part of the ongoing response, Sussex Roads Policing Unit closed Eaton Place to conduct a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. The closure has affected Brighton Road traffic in the area.

A spokesperson for the Ambulance Service stated, “They attended a man who had collapsed in a vehicle. He was in a serious condition and has been taken to the nearby RSCH.”
