A man is currently in a London hospital following a brutal assault and fall in Kent. The victim, locally identified as Jamie, was attacked before falling from a height onto a busy main road in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Borstal Street in Rochester remains closed as police forensic officers in white suits continue to search the scene for evidence. Friends of the injured man were seen speaking with CID officers, confirming that he has been transferred to a London hospital for treatment.
Staff at a nearby newsagent reported that CCTV footage captured paramedics arriving just after midnight, rushing to provide emergency care. The victim sustained serious injuries, and the road remains closed while the police investigation is ongoing.
A Kent Police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called to Borstal Street, Rochester at 11.55pm on Saturday 5 November 2022 following a report a man had been assaulted. Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service, and the man was taken to a London hospital.”
“A 31-year-old man was later arrested in connection with the incident and taken into custody. The road is currently closed while enquiries into the incident continue.”
