A tragic fatal collision occurred in Leysdown-on-Sea on Tuesday, 6 December 2022, resulting in the death of a woman in her 70s. The incident happened at around 4.45pm on the B2231 Leysdown Road near the junction with Bay View Gardens.

The victim was pushing a trolley bag when she was struck by a white Seat Exeo estate. Emergency services, including officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service, attended the scene promptly. Sadly, the woman died at the scene.

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) has launched an investigation into the collision. Authorities are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward to assist with the inquiry.
