Emergency services rushed to a dramatic roof rescue in Folkestone this morning after reports of a distressed man stranded atop a busy shopping centre.
Just before 10:30am on Monday, police, fire crews, and a specialist Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) from the South East Coast Ambulance Service were called to Bouverie Place. The man was seen in distress on the roof of a building, prompting urgent intervention.
Authorities quickly established a cordon, sealing off the side of the Boots store where scaffolding was present. Members of the public were asked to clear the area to allow specialist officers to negotiate with the individual and safely resolve the incident.
A Kent Police spokesman said: “We were called at 10:30am to Bouverie Place following concerns for a man in distress on the roof of a building. The area has been sealed off and specialist officers are currently engaging with the individual.”
