Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) dispatched three fire engines to Castle Road, Chatham, following a bedroom fire on Monday 5th January 2026 at approximately 6.45pm.
Firefighters promptly donned breathing apparatus and used hose reel jets to tackle the flames, bringing the fire under control swiftly.
Three individuals received treatment at the scene before being transferred to South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) for further medical care. Additionally, the KFRS Volunteer Response Team arrived to support residents affected by the incident.
The cause of the bedroom fire remains unknown as investigators continue to carry out their inquiries.
