Kent Police responded to a serious collision involving a lorry and a cyclist just after midnight on Tuesday, 4 June 2024. The incident occurred at the busy junction of Addington Street and Addington Road in Chatham.
Emergency services, including the South East Coast Ambulance Service, quickly arrived at the scene. A man involved in the crash received treatment on-site before being airlifted to a hospital in London. He remains in a serious condition.
Police officers are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision. They have issued an urgent appeal for anyone with information to come forward. Witnesses who may have dashcam footage or CCTV recordings of the incident are especially encouraged to assist with the inquiry.
