Violence broke out in Canterbury this afternoon when a large group of delivery drivers became involved in a brawl near the taxi rank on Canterbury Lane. The incident occurred just after 4pm on Wednesday, 22 January 2020.
During the chaotic fight, one man was stabbed while two others sustained injuries. Emergency services, including police and paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service, quickly arrived at the scene to provide medical assistance to the victims.
Police officers remain at the location as investigations continue, and several road closures have been implemented around the area to facilitate their work.
A Kent Police spokesman stated: “Kent Police was called at 4.10pm on 22 January 2020 to a report of a disturbance involving a group of men in a car park off Canterbury Lane, Canterbury. One man suffered an injury consistent with a stab wound and is currently being treated at the scene by medical professionals. Officers are in attendance and carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and the identities of those involved.”
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
